Feeding People and Feeding Soils in Tompkins County

On Farm Composting Workshop

April 4, 2025

Join us for a free workshop to bring your compost system to the next level!

The goal of this workshop is to equip farms with the tools needed to divert food scraps from the waste stream while creating a valuable soil amendment for use on-site. The workshop is coordinated by Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM), along with Jean Bonhotal of Cornell Waste Management Institute (CWMI), and Todd McLane, Director of the TC3 Farm and Adjunct Associate Professor, and made possible with funding from the USDA Compost and Food Waste Reduction cooperative agreement.
