Donate Garden Produce to Neighborhood Food Hubs

This summer, gardeners and CSA members have a convenient way to donate their extra vegetables, fruit and eggs by dropping them off at one of 13 convenient Neighborhood Food Hubs located throughout Tompkins County.

Friendship Donations Network’s Neighborhood Food Hubs make donating garden produce easy. Simply drop off your extra vegetables, fruit or eggs at one of the Neighborhood Food Hubs, and they will be distributed to area food programs the next day. In the first five years of the program, local gardeners and CSA members donated more than 21,000 pounds of produce!

There is at least one active Neighborhood Food Hub on most days of the week from July 15 – October 15, with hubs located in Brooktondale, Danby, Dryden, Groton, Ithaca, and Newfield.  For a complete schedule and listing, visit https://friendshipdonations.org/hubs/. If you have questions or would like more information, please email hubs@friendshipdonations.org or call 607-216-9522.
