New Year’s Recycling Collection and Drop Spot Schedule

Due to holiday scheduling, recycling may be collected earlier than normal on Friday, December 31^st. As always, residents are reminded to have their recycling bins set out by the required time of 6:00 AM (4:00 AM in the City of Ithaca and 7:30 in the Village of Cayuga Heights). Setting recycling out the night before collection is advised.

The New Year’s holiday does not affect the recycling collection schedule, but it does affect other programs and services. Please note the following schedule changes:

• The Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management office will be closed Friday, December 31^st for New Year’s Day (Observed).
• The Recycling and Solid Waste Center will be open Friday, December 31^st and closed Saturday, January 1^st for New Year’s Day.
• Saturday, January 1^st Food Scraps Recycling Drop Spots will be rescheduled to Sunday, January 2^nd with normal hours of operation.
