Holiday Closings and Food Scraps Recycling Drop Spot Schedule

For immediate release: December 17^th, 2021

The Tompkins County Department of Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM) would like to wish everyone Happy Holidays! Please note the following closings and schedule changes for the last two weeks of the year:

• The TCRMM office will be closed on Friday, December 24^th for Christmas Day (Observed) and Friday, December 31^st for New Year’s Day (Observed).
• The Recycling and Solid Waste Center will be closed Saturday, December 25^th for Christmas Day and Saturday, January 1^st for New Year’s Day.
• Curbside recycling collection is not affected by the holidays and will follow a normal schedule.
• Food Scraps Recycling Drop Spots that would be open on Saturday, December 25th will be cancelled. Drop Spots that would be open Saturday, January 1^st will be rescheduled to Sunday, January 2^nd. This includes the Drop Spots for Danby, Dryden, East Hill Plaza, Groton, Lansing, Bostwick Rd, and Trumansburg. Rescheduled drop spots will be open during their usual hours. Drop Spots that are open on Sundays are unaffected by the holidays and will be open as usual.
