Labor Day Closings and Curbside Recycling Pick-up Schedule
Both the Tompkins County DEPARTMENT OF RECYCLING AND MATERIALS MANAGEMENT and the County RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE CENTER will be closed on Monday, September 2nd in observance of Labor Day.
In addition, there will be no curbside recycling collection on September 2nd. Pick-up will take place one day later for the remainder of the holiday week. For example, if your scheduled collection day is Monday, your recycling will be picked up on Tuesday; Tuesday’s collection will take place Wednesday; and so on.
The “Find My Recycling Day” tool at www.recycletompkins.org allows residents to receive curbside pickup reminders via phone, text or email that automatically adjust for holidays when there is no recycling collection. Enter the address and click “Get a Reminder.”
