Recycling and Materials Management Announces Fourth of July Holiday Closures
(Tompkins County, June 30, 2023) – The Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM) office and the Recycling & Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
There will be no curbside recycling pick up on Tuesday. Curbside recycling will resume on Wednesday and will operate on a one-day delay for the rest of week through Saturday.
If your normal curbside recycling pick up is Tuesday, it will be picked up on Wednesday, July 5. If your curbside recycling day is usually Wednesday, it will be picked up on Thursday, July 6.
Additionally, there will be no Brooktondale Food Scraps Drop Spot on Tuesday, July 4.
The “Find My Recycling Day” tool at www.recycletompkins.org allows residents to receive curbside pickup reminders via phone, text or email that automatically adjust for holidays when there is no recycling collection. Enter the address and click “Get a Reminder.”
