TCRMM Announces Christmas, New Year’s Day Holiday Closures
(Tompkins County, Dec. 21, 2023) – The Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM) Office and the Recycling & Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, in observance of Christmas Day.
There will be no Curbside Recycling pickup on Monday, Dec. 25.
Both the TCRMM Office and the RSWC will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 1, 2024, in observance of New Year’s Day.
There will be no Curbside Recycling pickup on Monday, Jan. 1.
Following the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays, Curbside Recycling pickup will resume on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and on Tuesday, Jan. 2. Curbside Recycling will operate on a one-day delay for the remainder of both weeks.
The “Find My Recycling Day” tool at www.recycletompkins.org allows residents to receive Curbside Recycling pickup reminders via phone call, text, or email. Curbside Recycling reminders automatically adjust for holidays when there is no recycling collection. Enter the address and click “Get a Reminder.”
