Recycling and Materials Management Announces Labor Day Holiday Closures
(Tompkins County, August 31, 2023) – The Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM) office and the Recycling & Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2023, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
There will be no curbside recycling pick up on Monday. Curbside recycling will resume on Tuesday and will operate on a one-day delay for the rest of the week through Saturday.
If your normal curbside recycling pick up is Monday, it will be picked up on Tuesday, September 5. If your curbside recycling day is usually Tuesday, it will be picked up on Wednesday, September 6.
The “Find My Recycling Day” tool at www.recycletompkins.org allows residents to receive curbside recycling pickup reminders via phone call, text or email. The curbside recycling reminders automatically adjust for holidays when there is no recycling collection. Enter the address and click “Get a Reminder.”
