Labor Day Closing and Curbside Recycling Pick-Up Schedule

Both the Tompkins County Department of Recycling and Materials Management and the Recycling & Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will be closed on Monday, September 6^th in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

There will be no curbside recycling collection on Monday, September 6^th.

Recycling collection will take place a day late for the remainder of the holiday week. That means if your regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, recycling will be picked up on Tuesday; regular Tuesday collection will take place Wednesday, and so on.

The “Find My Recycling Day” tool at www.recycletompkins.org allows residents to receive curbside pickup reminders via phone, text or email that automatically adjust for holidays when there is no recycling collection. Enter the address and click “Get a Reminder.”
