Recycling and Materials Management Announces Holiday Closures, Recycling Schedules
(Tompkins County, May 24, 2023) – The Tompkins County Recycling and Materials Management (TCRMM) office and the Recycling & Solid Waste Center (RSWC) will be closed on Monday, May 29, 2023, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
There will be no curbside recycling collection on Monday, May 29.
Recycling collection will take place a day late for the remainder of the week, from Tuesday, May 30 through Saturday, June 3. That means if your regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, recycling will be picked up on Tuesday; regular Tuesday collection will take place Wednesday, and so on.
The “Find My Recycling Day” tool at www.recycletompkins.org allows residents to receive curbside pickup reminders via phone, text or email that automatically adjust for holidays when there is no recycling collection. Enter the address and click “Get a Reminder.”
